We are seeking a dependable, hands-on Maintenance Tech / Injection Molding Processor to join our team. This position is responsible for keeping injection molding equipment, molds, and production processes running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, understands injection molding process and equipment (or is willing to learn), and takes pride in producing quality parts while minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
-Set up, start up , and monitoring injection mold processes and machinery; installation, removal, and change over of molding inserts; temperature, cycle, and pressure adjustments; process documentation and preventative maintenance actions
-Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and general equipment problems throughout the manufacturing plant; inspect machines for potential failures and troubleshoot solutions; work directly with management and engineering to solve and prevent delays and defects in production; maintain inventory of maintenance supplies/tooling
-Follow company and OSHA safety requirements and policies; Effectively use lockout/tagout procedures; report unsafe conditions to management
Qualifications/Experience:
- Previous experience with injection molding equipment and processing preferred
-Mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance experience
-Ability to troubleshoot industrial machinery and locate root cause of issues
-Experience changing or setting up, and basic knowledge of injection molds preferred
-Ability to read equipment manuals, electrical schematics, and mechanical drawings
-Strong problem solving skills
-Ability to use hand tools & power tools, ability to lift, push, pull, and maneuver equipment and materials
-Willingness to work overtime when necessary, and to work independently with limited supervision
We offer a 4-day work week with potential for overtime, and ten paid holidays.
