Breeds include Swedish Flower Hen, Buff Orpington, Crested Polish, and Salmon Faverolle. All of the chickens originally came from Meyer Hatchery.
All of our chickens have been raised on organic feed, and we supplement their daily feed with Roosty’s Flock Armor. They are well cared for and have been part of an established backyard flock.
Most are currently about halfway to three-quarters of the way through their fall molt and some of their pin feathers coming in. Our overall egg production hasn’t really slowed down, so these girls appear to be continuing to lay through their molt. Please keep in mind that the stress of moving to a new home and integrating into a new flock can temporarily slow or pause egg production.
As any chicken owner knows, it’s highly recommend quarantining new birds before introducing them slowly to your existing flock and following your normal integration process.
We will sell individually, but would prefer that at least 2 go together when possible. Having a familiar flockmate can help reduce some of the stress of moving and establishing a new pecking order.
$25 each. Cash only, no Venmo. Please come prepared to safely transport your chickens. We’ll meet in a safe, neutral location in Fairview. Pickup only — delivery is not available.
