Role Description:
The Materials Runner keeps our job sites stocked and running on schedule. You'll pick up and deliver materials, tools and supplies between suppliers, our shop and active job sites throughout Northern Virginia. This role works closely with our field team, project managers and office team to make sure the right materials get to the right place on time.
What You'll Do:
- Pick up and deliver materials from local suppliers and vendors
- Make runs between job sites and the shop as needed throughout the day
- Purchase materials using company accounts and keep track of receipts
- Check orders for accuracy and report any shortages or damage
- Load and unload materials safely
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized
- Communicate with crews and the office on delivery times and updates
What You Bring:
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Familiarity with Northern Virginia roads and job site areas
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in all weather
- Able to communicate clearly in English with suppliers, crews and the office
- Reliable, organized and on time
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of construction materials
