Splitrock Tap & Wheel is looking for a Beertender to join our customer-facing crew — taking and managing orders, serving food and beverages, and keeping our bar and dining area clean and dialed in. If you're friendly, service-oriented, observant, and know your way around a busy taproom, we want to hear from you.
Heads up: this is sometimes a one-person shift; you'll be the only staff on the floor, so we need someone who's calm under pressure, works well independently, and can run the bar solo without hand-holding.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS
Currently Sunday & Monday, 4:00pm to close. Our schedule is dynamic, so additional shifts may become available over time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience working in a busy counter-service taproom/restaurant
- Comfortable working solo shifts with full responsibility for the floor, bar, and register
- Strong independent judgment with ability to handle rushes and unexpected situations without a manager on-site
- Cash handling experience
- Food service industry experience
- Comfortable with electronic POS systems and general e-device literacy
- Access to a computer or smartphone (for scheduling app and staff communications)
- Physically able to move heavy items (tables, chairs, kegs, dirty dishes, cleaning equipment)
- 21+ (ABC requirement to serve alcohol)
- Current Food Handlers Certificate
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Keep beverage coolers stocked and rotated (kegs and self-serve drinks)
- Manage customer food and drink orders for accuracy and timeliness
- Prepare and serve drinks
- Maintain a clean, orderly bar and dining room
- Change kegs and update online/display menus
- Restock service items (napkins, paper towels, condiments, etc.)
- Wash dishes
COMPENSATION
- $16.90/hr + pooled tips (typically $25–30+/hr)
- Shift meal included
- Off-shift discounts on food, drinks, and bike stuff too
