This is a very attractive professionally matted and framed presentation of GENERAL DOUGLAS MacARTHUR with his original signature written across a period postcard (1940's) with a 6 Cent US Postage Stamp bearing his likeness and the front and back of a minted coin from the Philippine Islands (Defender and Liberator of the Philippine Islands) of that time period. There is a handsome photo of him measuring 16 on 1/2" x 13" with a US Flag in the background. This presentation has been TRIPLE-MATTED using archival quality expensive acid-free materials with cutout areas for the Stamp, the front and rear views of the special Philippine Islands coin, his name, the post card bearing his 3 1/2" long signature in blue fountain pen ink dated 3 February 1948 and the photo of him. The custom framing cost over $250 alone not including the mementos displayed. The overall size of this presentation measures approx. 37 3/4" x 22". Because it is quite large and somewhat heavy. There is a tapered Mahogany framing that is 2" wide that surrounds the presentation. It is all in excellent condition with no scratches, dents or cracks anywhere to be found on this outstanding presentation. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from myself (Charle K. Bird). If you are ever not satisfied that this signed postcard is not original (with authentic signature ) return it to me in the same condition as received for a complete refund of the acquisition cost ) less S&H. This is as good of a guarantee as I can extend to you. Your COMPLETE SATISFACTION is my goal.
Please don't hesitate to ask me any pertinent questions to this beautiful presentation. It will look very nice wherever it is displayed.
DOUGLAS MacARTHUR is STILL LOVED by those who lived in the 1945 - 1950 period when he was responsible for the cleanup and startup od industries in JAPAN and the Philippine Islands. He did a LOT of GOOD for those people!!!
