Social Media Coordinator, for a Creative Director (Part-Time, San Diego)
A design studio in North County and a nonprofit foundation in Baja California Sur are looking for one person to run their Instagram accounts, working directly under the studio’s creative director.
The studio designs homes, hotels, and the brand worlds around them. The foundation is a hospitality-led platform built around a simple idea: everything built in a place should lift the people who live there. It funds and runs school kitchens serving hundreds of hot meals to children every school day, is renovating and expanding a women’s development center where women earn trades and certifications, brings clean water systems to schools and community spaces, and is building hospitality training programs with one of Mexico’s most celebrated chefs. Real stories, strong photography, an established visual identity, and a high bar. Neither account needs trends chased. Both need someone with a good eye who shows up every week.
The work: a steady rhythm of grid posts, reels, and stories on two accounts, editing reels, building posts from supplied photography, writing clean captions (Spanish is a real plus), keeping the calendar, engaging with the community, and sending a simple monthly note on what’s working. Photography skills are a plus. Direction is set together; execution is yours.
You: early in your career with a feed that already shows taste. Reliable, coachable, and genuinely interested in learning brand-building from a creative director who has spent thirty years at it. You crop with intention, you notice type, and you’d rather make one beautiful post than three loud ones. Design studies, photography, or a personal creative practice all count for more than a résumé.
The setup: part-time contract, mostly remote with occasional content days in person in San Diego. Hours are steady and weekly; compensation depends on experience, with room to grow, a third brand launches next year. Possible travel to Mexico down the road; a passport helps.
To apply: reply to this post with your feed or any visual work you’re proud of, your resume, and a few lines about yourself.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
