Medical equipment provider is seeking an honest, responsible, respectful, and friendly Independent Contractor Driver to complete medical equipment deliveries throughout San Diego County.
Equipment may include wheelchairs, walkers, rollators, commodes, canes, hospital beds, and other home medical equipment.
You will pick up equipment from our San Diego satellite location and deliver to healthcare facilities and patients' homes. Some deliveries require equipment setup and basic instruction to the patient or caregiver on proper use.
This is dispatch-based work. The workload changes daily and THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF DAILY WORK OR A SET NUMBER OF DELIVERIES.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Current vehicle registration
• Current proof of automobile insurance
• Working smartphone compatible with our dispatching application
• Clean and safe driving record
• Ability to lift, load, unload, and safely handle medical equipment
• Ability to set up medical equipment and provide basic patient/caregiver instruction after training
• Professional, respectful, and friendly communication
• Dependable and responsive to dispatch
Compensation is paid per completed delivery as an independent contractor. Rates vary based on the type of equipment, delivery requirements, and distance.
