Edward Koehn Co., Inc. is a small, established production machine shop in the East Bay. We run CNC lathes, mills, and Swiss-type machines making precision parts in production quantities. We are looking for an experienced CNC machinist who can set up and run jobs on their own.
What you’ll do:
Set up CNC lathes (and mills) from print and setup sheet: load tools, set offsets, prove out the program, make first article
Run production, hold tight tolerances, and keep the machine making good parts
Inspect your own work with mics, calipers, gages, and comparator
Make offset and program edits as needed to keep parts in tolerance
Keep your area clean and your machine maintained
What we’re looking for:
3+ years CNC machining in a production shop, with hands-on setup experience
Able to read blueprints and GD&T
Swiss-type lathe experience (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, etc.) is a big plus but not required — we will train the right lathe machinist
Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
