The Gourmet Animal is a growing, chef-driven gourmet meal delivery company in El Segundo. We're looking for a reliable, hardworking dishwasher who also has some kitchen prep experience and wants to grow with our team.
We're a small, professional kitchen producing high-quality, restaurant-level food each week. Everyone contributes, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, moves quickly, and shows initiative.
PAY & SCHEDULE
- Starting pay: $20/hour
- Tuesday: 11 AM – 4 PM
- Wednesday–Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM
- Approximately 25–30 hours per week
- Consistent weekly schedule
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
- Maintaining a clean, organized, efficient kitchen
- Assisting with daily kitchen cleaning and sanitation
- Supporting basic food preparation as needed
- Helping the kitchen team wherever needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Basic knife skills and food prep experience are a big plus
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Able to work quickly, efficiently, and independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- English is NOT required
OPPORTUNITY TO GROW
This position starts primarily in dishwashing, but we're especially interested in someone who already has food prep experience. If you're capable, dependable, and demonstrate good kitchen skills, you'll have the opportunity to take on prep responsibilities quickly.

Local candidates strongly preferred. If you live nearby and don't have a car, this could be a great opportunity as long as you have reliable transportation to work.
