Also referred to as sweet pepper bush. It is a native shrub.

Fragrant flowers fill the air with its scent when in bloom.

Grows well in a wide range of areas - Good in full sun or shady areas. Does well on moist sites.

Pink flowers arrive in August and then in Fall a new pop of color shows up as the leaves turn bright yellow.

Summersweet blooms on new growth, so it can be maintained easily with pruning at the start of the season.
