This is a 20 ton C frame hydraulic press made in the US by Denison. This series of Multi-Press machines were made for all sorts of industrial processes and are fast enough for production rates nearing mechanical but with far greater versatility and safety. I have repainted with industrial enamel and while not perfect I took quite a bit of time to prep well. During that I emptied, cleaned and resealed the hydraulic tank, repaired leaking sight glass, replaced leaking line, resealed the pump. Can be powered up for testing with notice.
These are uniquely well suited for hot forging blacksmith presses and far better in every aspect then the various hobbiest level machines being marketed to smiths. I have another of these (35t) that I use in my shop. I would be willing to sell it instead and keep this, either is sufficient for my forging needs. But the other is an unusual high frame military build with over 30" stroke 30hp so the machine is massive; over 10' tall 6' deep and at least13000lbs so transport would be significantly more complicated. If interested in that instead let me know, I want 9k for it.
This has a 25hp Baldor motor coupled to a Vickers vane pump for very, very high speed (20 ton: 550ipm approach 250ipm pressing 600ipm return and 35 ton 525ipm approach 240ipm pressing 500 return) and they do so with single stage pumps with a rather clever bypass ported valve. These have bottom and top limit stops, speed and tonnage control as well. The C frame has a 10" depth 15" stroke and 24" daylight, dimensions 29w 46d 85h and 3200lbs.
