We are looking for individuals who are ready to work, can show up daily on time for their shifts. We are looking for staff who are respectful and compassionate towards the individuals we provide for. We need someone who is willing to enforce rules and keep boundaries in place. Cooking experience is nice, but not required. Previous experience in group home/assisted living setting is helpful, but also not required. Self motivited individuals would be preferred, if you see things that need to be done we prefer people do it instead of waiting to be told to do it. We strive to not micromanage, but it requires individuals to take initiative to do things without reminders of things needing to be done for that to remain in place. Shift duties include but are not limited to: -cooking/serving/clean up after meals, med passing, interacting with high functioning adults, basic household type chores including sweeping, mopping, laundry, etc., documenting.
Day shifts include the kitchen duties with cooking and meal clean up, med passing
Overnights include the majority of cleaning duties with cleaning and restocking bathroom supplies, sweeping and mopping of all hallways and gathering spaces, emptying of garbages, occasional prn med passing
All shifts include basic household chores, documenting, and interacting with individuals.
We are also open to hiring a casual/fill in staff. This would be ideal for an individual who isn't dependant on guarunteed number of hours or shifts each week. But rather looking for an extra shift now and then to supplement their current employment. We would like someone that could help fill in for the occasional vacation/sick calls. These shifts would mainly be evening/overnight for sick calls, with some occasional mornings when planned ahead for vacation dates. We would never call someone at 5am asking them to come cover a sick call. Not required to pick up all shifts offered, as this is not considered being "on call". We offer what we have, you take what you can and want. Must do at least 1 shift every 3 months to remain in the casual role.
