Gigee has partnered with SHEF seeking independent transportation contractors with a van (Cargo, Sprinter, or Larger) to provide scheduled roundtrip supply pickup, food pickup, and transportation services between the Client’s San Leandro hub, to the Dublin Shef pickup site, and back to the Client’s San Leandro hub. You will pick up clean food bags, steel containers, and other supplies from our hub first, travel to Dublin to execute handoff of supplies in exchange for prepared food with our Shefs (local chefs creating meals for our client), and deliver ready food back to our hub.This is a consistent morning route, four days a week, requiring self-management, precision, and an attention to detail. Our delivery partners will collect clean steel containers on Wednesdays and hold them until the following Sunday route if required.
Route Availability & Details
-Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
-7:00 AM-10:00 AM PST, latest 11:20 AM
-Approximately 3 hours per day
-Consistent weekly route availability.
Contracted Route Services
-Contractor is responsible for planning their travel to meet the agreed route pickup window. Pickup window begins at 7:00 AM.
-Collect required supplies from the hub.
-Meet Shefs as they arrive at pickup point and load their food bags into your vehicle.
-Provide supplies to Shefs when requested.
-Once the final Shef has arrived, drive directly to the hub.
-Unload all food bags and supplies at the hub.
-Review & implement actions for replenishing storage supplies when warranted.
-Provide clear communication and updates when needed.
-Maintain required route and supply documentation and communicate material pickup, handoff, or delivery exceptions.
Supply Responsibilities
You may be asked to pick up replenishment steel container supplies from the hub after the Wednesday food drop-off and store them securely in your vehicle until the next service day.
Contractor Requirements
-Valid driver's license and Satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
-Reliable VAN capable of carrying food bags and supplies
-Commercially presentable, clean vehicle suitable for food transportation
-Ability to transport loads up to 50 lbs
-Ability to independently complete the contracted route - timing is critical
-Ability to manage route timing and transportation
-Ability to communicate material exceptions
-Independent contractor/business status and applicable documentation required
