Beautiful vintage Hoffman Easy-Vision 21 Mark V black-and-white console television from 1953. This is a genuine mid-century piece with its original wood cabinet and iconic front doors. It would make an outstanding restoration project, display piece, or decorative accent for a vintage home, or a retro collection.
I have an additional video showing the television powering on, producing static, and demonstrating that the volume control functions correctly. I’m happy to send the video upon request.
Condition:
•Powers on after a brief warm-up.
•Produces the expected vintage tube hum and static.
•Volume control functions and adjusts the volume of the static sound.
•Channel selector changes the static pattern as channels are selected.
•The upper portion of the screen displays static, while the lower portion remains dark, so it will likely require restoration before regular use.
•The original power/volume control knob is missing (the shaft is present and still turns normally).
•The cabinet is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age with normal wear consistent with an over 70-year-old television.
The cabinet has been thoroughly cleaned inside and out, including the glass, speaker area, and interior compartments. The original “Easy Vision 21 Mark V” badge is intact, and the original Mark V feature sticker is included.
This is being sold as a vintage collectible in non-restored condition. Because of its age, I cannot guarantee functionality beyond the power-on demonstration shown in the video attached to the listing.
These early 1950s Hoffman televisions are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially with their original cabinets intact.
