Position Description
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Tile Setter Apprentice with a "minimum of one year of hands-on tile installation experience".
The ideal candidate has worked alongside professional tile installers and has practical experience with measuring, cutting, preparing surfaces, and setting ceramic or porcelain tile.
This position offers an opportunity to advance your skills while working with experienced installers specializing in custom showers, cement shower pans, waterproofing systems, steam showers, and bathroom remodeling.
Minimum Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of hands-on tile installation experience
* Basic experience measuring, cutting, and setting ceramic or porcelain tile
* Familiarity with thinset mortar, tile layout, and surface preparation
* Must own basic tile installation hand tools
* Valid driver's license
* Reliable transportation to and from jobsites
* Willing to travel throughout Colorado's Front Range, from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins
* Physically capable of performing construction-related work
* Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
Job Responsibilities
* Assist with ceramic and porcelain tile installation
* Measure, mark, cut, and set tile under supervision
* Prepare walls, floors, and shower surfaces
* Mix and apply thinset mortar and grout
* Assist with shower pan construction
* Assist with Schluter-Kerdi and Laticrete waterproofing systems
* Maintain clean, safe, and organized jobsites
* Develop professional tile-setting skills through hands-on training
