Denver manufacturer looking for a dependable full-time shop helper. Please read the whole ad before replying — the last two sections matter as much as the first.
BEFORE YOU REPLY — THREE THINGS TO BE CLEAR ABOUT
1. This is a general labor job supporting our machinists, not a machining job. You'll work alongside the operators — helping them load and unload material, watching the machines while they run, and flagging anything that looks off. What you won't be doing is learning to program or run the equipment yourself. This is a support role, not a training program for machine operators. If your goal is to get into machining, this is not the opening for you.
2. The pay is $20–$21/hr. Raises come with time on the job. This is a support position and the pay range reflects that, so go in with that expectation rather than finding out later.
3. We only communicate by email. Do not reply with just your phone number asking for a call — those replies get deleted. Everything up front happens in writing.
WHAT THE JOB ACTUALLY IS
- Assisting the machine operators — loading and unloading material, monitoring machines while they're cutting, and getting the operator when something needs attention
- Sweeping, cleaning, and keeping the shop floor, tools, and work areas orderly
- Deburring and hand-finishing cut parts so they meet quality standards
- Packing, boxing, labeling, and staging finished parts for shipment
- Moving raw material and finished product around the shop, including forklift work (we provide training and certification)
- Loading and unloading material, hauling scrap, general cleanup around the machines
- Whatever else needs doing on the floor on a given day — this is a true general-support role
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- No experience necessary. We'll show you everything the job requires.
- Reliable attendance. Showing up on time every day is the single biggest thing.
- Willingness to take direction and follow safety procedures
- Able to understand and follow verbal safety instructions and read written work orders in English
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs regularly and stay on your feet for a full shift
- Comfortable in a busy, loud, dusty industrial shop
- Someone who wants a steady job and intends to stay. A stable work history helps; if you're new to the workforce, that's fine too.
