Hillel Academy of Denver is seeking TWO experienced, passionate and dedicated Floating Substitute Teachers, a female teacher for the girls and a male teacher for the boys. When not acting as a substitute, you will provide teacher support for small group student intervention.
The perfect job candidate must be flexible, caring, and great with kids of all ages . He or she must be able to effectively engage with the children and be highly skilled at maintaining classroom discipline, as well as maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and respect for all students. This is a perfect position for a retired teacher!
As an afternoon job, this position is ideal for a recently retired teacher or someone who wants a better work/life balance. These part-time positions are on-site and may in the future work into fulltime positions.
All legal holidays are paid days off. 10 paid personal / sick days.
Pay is $27,400 for a teacher with less than 5 years experience,
$28,700 for a teacher with more than 5 years experience.
Hours: 12:15-3:45, Monday-Friday (Fridays are shorter hours in the winter), 175-180 school days in the year.
