A Moments Focus Photography is looking for adult models (18+) interested in collaborating on a series of creative, sexy, Colorado-inspired portrait and boudoir shoots this fall and winter.
I’m currently expanding my boudoir and editorial portfolio and developing a personal photography project I’m calling Colorado After Dark. Rather than creating traditional bedroom boudoir photographs, I want each shoot to have its own concept and incorporate Colorado’s mountains, seasons, Western culture and outdoor lifestyle.
Some of the concepts I’m currently casting for include:
Autumn Afterglow — Starts as a traditional fall portrait session among the changing leaves and gradually transitions from sweaters, jeans and boots into bodysuits, lingerie, oversized sweaters and outdoor boudoir around golden hour.
Cowgirl After Dark — Western portraits that progress from jeans, boots, hats and denim into a sexier Western-inspired look using bodysuits, bralettes, lingerie, boots and rustic Colorado locations.
Cabin Fever — A cozy mountain-cabin session that begins with casual lifestyle portraits and transitions into intimate boudoir using sweaters, blankets, lingerie, window light and a fireplace/cabin atmosphere.
Après-Ski After Dark — Ski and mountain-lifestyle portraits that transition from winter gear into oversized sweaters, bodysuits, lingerie, ski boots and a warm après-ski boudoir look.
Motel Noir — A darker, cinematic shoot inspired by vintage roadside motels, neon lights and old movies. Leather jackets, denim, bodysuits, lingerie, mirrors, shadows and dramatic lighting.
Hot Springs After Hours — An outdoor lifestyle and swimwear session that becomes moodier and more sensual as the light disappears, incorporating water, steam, silhouettes and the surrounding Colorado landscape.
Additional concepts are being developed, and I’m very open to collaborating with models who have an idea they’ve always wanted to photograph.
WHO I’M LOOKING FOR
You do not need professional modeling experience. In fact, I’d like this project to include a variety of people rather than exclusively experienced models.
You must:
• Be 18 years of age or older. Government-issued photo ID will be verified before any boudoir photography begins.
• Be comfortable participating in a shoot that may include boudoir, lingerie, swimwear or other sensual portraiture. You determine your own comfort level, and wardrobe and boundaries will be discussed before the session.
• Be comfortable signing a model release for the specific photographs we mutually agree may be used in my photography portfolio, website, social media and promotional materials.
• Be dependable. Because I’m providing the photography at no charge and putting considerable time into planning, shooting and editing each session, please only respond if you’re genuinely interested and able to commit to an agreed date and time.
• Provide your own wardrobe unless we specifically arrange otherwise. I’ll help plan outfits and can provide suggestions based on the concept.
• Be willing to collaborate. These are creative shoots, so I’m looking for models who are excited about helping develop the concept rather than simply showing up for free photographs.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
There is no modeling fee and no photography/session fee. This is a collaborative portfolio-building/TFP project.
Selected models will receive a collection of professionally edited, high-resolution digital photographs from the session for their personal portfolio and social media use.
Before the shoot we’ll discuss the concept, location, wardrobe, comfort level and what types of photographs you’re comfortable having publicly displayed.
TO BE CONSIDERED
Please reply with:
1. Your first name and age.
2. Your general location and how far you’re willing to travel for a shoot.
3. A recent photo of yourself. Professional modeling photos are absolutely not required—a clear recent photo is fine.
4. Which Colorado After Dark concept(s) interest you most.
5. Whether you’ve modeled before. Again, no experience is necessary.
6. Your general availability during October/November.
7. The types of looks you’re comfortable considering: fashion/lifestyle, swimwear, bodysuit, lingerie, implied boudoir, etc. You don’t need to agree to every category to participate.
8. Any tattoos, piercings, hair color or other features you’d particularly like incorporated into the shoot.
9. Any creative ideas you’ve always wanted to try.
10. A link to Instagram, Model Mayhem or another portfolio/social account if you have one. This is optional.
Please don’t send nude photographs when applying. A normal recent photo is all that’s needed.
I’ll contact people whose look, availability and interests fit one of the concepts I’m currently developing. If selected, we’ll talk through the entire idea before scheduling anything.
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I’m the photographer behind A Moments Focus, specializing in portraits, weddings and creative photography in Colorado. I’m currently using these collaborative sessions to expand the boudoir/editorial side of my portfolio and create something a little different from traditional studio boudoir.
The goal of Colorado After Dark is confident, sexy and creative photography that still feels distinctly Colorado.
