━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🐶 WHO WE WANT TO MEET
You do not necessarily need a long professional résumé.
Of course, if you are already a professional Dog Trainer, I absolutely want to hear from you.
But I am also very interested in:
🐾 Assistant Dog Trainers
🐕 Experienced Dog Walkers who also work on training
❤️ Rescue or Foster Professionals
🏡 Experienced Pet Sitters
🩺 Veterinary or Doggy Daycare Professionals
🐶 People who have successfully trained their own dogs and genuinely understand how dogs learn
What matters most is that you are:
✅ Excellent with dogs
✅ Patient
✅ Reliable
✅ Comfortable communicating with families
✅ Observant of canine body language
✅ Confident without being forceful
✅ Able to follow a training plan
✅ Willing to learn
✅ Professional
✅ Genuinely passionate about helping dogs and people succeed together
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🌱 POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT ONLY
This is extremely important.
Karma Dog Training™ is a 100% positive-reinforcement, science-based dog training company.
We teach through:
🐾 Reinforcement
🐾 Motivation
🐾 Communication
🐾 Consistency
🐾 Patience
🐾 Relationship building
We are not looking for someone whose training philosophy centers around:
❌ Shock collars
❌ E-collars
❌ Prong collars
❌ Choke chains
❌ Leash pops
❌ Fear or intimidation
❌ Physical punishment
If your instinct is to teach the dog what you want rather than punish the dog for making a mistake, you may be a very good fit.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🏡 PRIVATE IN-HOME TRAINING
Our immediate need is for a Trainer who can work directly with clients in their homes.
You may help families with:
🐾 Puppy training
🐾 Basic obedience
🐾 Loose leash walking
🐾 Recall
🐾 Polite greetings
🐾 Jumping
🐾 Impulse control
🐾 Socialization
🐾 Household manners
🐾 Confidence building
🐾 General behavior support
You are not just working with the dog.
You are also helping the family understand how to communicate more successfully with their dog between sessions.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
💰 COMPENSATION
$75 to $90 PER PRIVATE SESSION
Your exact rate will depend upon:
🐾 Experience
🐾 Training background
🐾 Comfort level with different types of cases
🐾 Communication skills
🐾 Overall fit
There is already a client waiting to begin, so for the right person this can move very quickly.
Our Trainers work as independent contractors and can choose which opportunities they accept.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
🏡 BOARD & TRAIN IS A PLUS
Board & Train is not required.
However, if you have:
✅ A suitable private home
✅ Significant dog experience
✅ The ability to safely host client dogs
✅ Experience providing structured training and care
then please mention that when you contact me.
It may open the door to additional opportunities.
