Selling an authentic 1970s Wassily lounge chair originally purchased in the 70s.
This is a true mid-century piece featuring the correct seamless, un-capped tubular chrome frame (no cheap plastic or metal end plugs). The chrome is in great shape with excellent shine.
The original black leather has a beautiful vintage patina, but the chair is priced as a restoration project: the right arm strap has a torn section and the seat has a split seam that will require professional restitching or partial strap replacement. Perfect for mid-century modern restorers or collectors looking for a genuine Wassily Chair.
*New ones are $4,300 or more depending on options and perfect vintage ones are harder to find. The one in the Kirkland museum isn't even perfect.
