1971 Ludwig Supraphonic Snare - Excellent Condition - $450 (Denver)

From my 1970's studio, and safely stored for decades, I am finally parting with my vintage 1971 Ludwig No. 400 Supraphonic 5x14 snare drum. A classic, highly recorded player's drum in great shape. It features the original internal date stamp inside the shell from Aug 11, 1971 and a pointed Blue & Olive badge (Serial #870211). Original muffler and snare wires. It also has vintage heads-- Remo Weatherking and Ludwig "Rockers" that were bought at Bobby's Music in Denver! The drum is in clean, well-stored condition. It displays some typical light pitting/chrome acne common to Ludalloy shells of this era, but the chrome still holds a great shine. 100% functional and an incredible player's drum or studio workhorse.

• Shell: Ludalloy (seamless aluminum).
• Badge: Pointed-corner Blue & Olive badge.
• Markings: Original internal paper tag stamped "400" and black ink "Reliable Anti-Galvanic Finish" internal stamp.
• Condition: Honest player-grade wear. Minor vintage chrome "acne" (pitting) as is common for these, but NO peeling or flaking.
I do have a nice vintage stand, if you are looking for one. It is a late-70's red label Japanese Tama Titan. I also have the 70's Ludwig Standard snare stand that came with this snare.
