Self-made foundry kiln from a 30 lb. propane tank. It will run on a 3/4 - 1 in. propane burner at ~30 psi. Interior diameter of 8 in. and height of 1 foot. It has a cast floor of 3200°F refractory cement, and ceramic fiber insulation rated for 2700°F which is sealed with the same refractory cement. This will last a long time with minimal patching. It is on a dolly and highly mobile, and the lid can be switched over to open from either side of the kiln.
