This first series was probably poured in the first few days that SilverTowne was minting silver bars, as they used one series of serial numbers on all bar sizes. I dug it out of a box of several 10 oz bars at a local coin shop, guessing about ten years ago. This vintage 10 oz cast bar is a rare find in silver bar collecting.

Asking price on this beauty is $1050 cash, to be transacted on the west side of Delaware, Ohio.

I’m getting old enough that I want to liquidate some of my nicer silver pieces so my wife and daughter are not left with that burden. It needs to be a collection, we would all hate for this to be melted into part of a 1000 oz Comex bar.
