Current Job Ready to Go - HVAC specialist or experience needed:
Dryer Vent Routing & Exterior Hole Cut:
- Run ~30ft of 4" rigid metal ducting along the garage wall, mount/seal it properly, and cut an exterior hole through the wall (stucco) for a backdraft exhaust hood.
- In the picture of the garage, you can see the laundry tower, the proposed route for the ducting, and the exit area (next to ladder and above that door perhaps).
Exterior wall will need to be closed up, currently is stucco, dont need fancy or expensive but do need it closed again...
Why do I need this and not the amazon water bucket trick (tried, makes garage too humid and lint dust still escapes onto my things)?? a relatively new electric dryer is taking ~3 cycles to dry clothes and (as it turns out) a 4" hose is feeding a 3" exhaust pipe going up.
I've attached a starting point of supplies I already HAVE that I think should suffice but open to feedback or edits you recommend.
Ideal Requirements of you:
Location: Ideally based near the Del Mar / Carmel Valley area (close to the Carmel Valley Rd exit off I-5) so the drive is quick and easy for you.
Tech-Savvy: Must have a smartphone and a reliable form of transport. I frequently send quick video explainers or product links before a job so you can review them and confirm you’re comfortable with the task.
Tools: You have your own core hand tools and power tools (drills, saws, etc.). I have some basic layperson supplies, but no specialized equipment or saws. I will reimburse all project-specific finished parts.
Payment: Prefer Venmo or Zelle (cashless). I value your time and will always group tasks together so you get a 3-4 hour minimum per visit.
Perks / Long-Term Potential:
Expect ~10 hours per month of consistent work just from me (usually spread across 1 or 2 visits). Rarely is anything an emergency needing same-day service. I have about 4 other local households top-of-mind looking for dependable help, so if this works out, you’ll be my primary referral for those extra jobs.
I’ll keep you stocked with coffee, water, soda, and the occasional lunch while you’re on-site.
