1954 Martin 0-18
This guitar is in Excellent player condition super clean.
This Martin has the beautiful Adirondack spruce top with mahogany back and sides, and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
The bridge has never been removed or reset, the frets are in good condition,
The original tuners work smoothly and hold tune.
The action measures approximately 2.75 mm at the 12th fret on the low E, making it a very comfortable player with no buzzing. The saddle is on the lower side, so a neck reset may be something a future owner considers down the road. However, as it sits today, it plays comfortably and sounds outstanding.
Cosmetically, the finish remains beautifully lustrous. The clear finish on the headstock is peeling, and I have intentionally left it untouched rather than attempting any cosmetic repairs.
The pickguard is crack free and in good condition, as are the frets they are in good condition as well.
It does have a small crack, Like many Martins from this era, it has the well-known top crack directly beneath the B string, I took a close up of it in a couple of the pictures.
Overall, this is a super clean and well taken care of Martin It offers everything people look for in a great 1950s 0-18: exceptional tone, comfortable playability.
It comes with a non original case.
