RED SUNSET MAPLE provides visual interest all 4 seasons of the year. In spring it has small delicate clusters of red blossoms. The dark green leaves of summer transform into fall foliage of rust, oranges, and reds. In winter the red hue continues on fresh buds and the growth of new stems. Red Sunset is fast growing, a tidy oval shape maturing about 30 feet tall. It grows in most soil types, in full sun to part shade. Developed in Boring, Oregon in the 1940s, it is ideal for local conditions and even colder areas - hardy to zone 4. Acer rubrum ‘Franks Red’ USDA Zones 4-8
OCTOBER GLORY MAPLE has deep green summer leaves that turn a brilliant fire-red (with hints of orange) in fall; they keep this color for a longer season than other maples, often until Thanksgiving! The best foliage color is when planted in full sun, but this variety also does well in part shade. October Glory maintains a lovely oval or rounded form, growing about 1-1½ feet a year, to 25 or 30 feet tall in our area. Acer rubrum ‘October Glory’ USDA Zones 4-9
REDPOINT MAPLE - This fast-growing maple was developed locally in Boring, especially for withstanding rainy winters and wet springs. It is also valued for its good branching structure and strong central leader. Redpointe maintains an upright symmetrical profile, usually getting 20 to 30 feet tall in ten years. The tree adapts well to various soils, including clay. Plant Redpointe Maple in full sun to part shade and enjoy its foliage of vivid bright reds for a long-lasting season all autumn. AUTUMN BLAZE MAPLE grows quickly, often over 2 feet per year, staying balanced and oval, maturing about 30 feet tall. The glossy green leaves have eye-catching silver undersides in summer. In autumn its vivid orange-red foliage is one of the most reliable displays of any maple variety, lasting through the entire fall season. Acer x freemanii ‘Jeffersred’ USDA Zones 3-8
