The Role :
We’re looking for a Train Conductor & Entertainer to operate our kiddie train and bring energy, personality, and fun to every ride. Part performer, part driver, and all about the guest experience - this role is perfect for someone who loves engaging with kids and families, has a sense of showmanship, and takes safety seriously. Think Universal Studios tram vibes, but with pumpkins!
This is a part-time seasonal position that runs through the month of October, with shifts ranging between 5–8 hours per day, including weekends and evenings.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate the kiddie train ride throughout the day
Use a microphone or interactive performance to entertain guests during the ride
Greet and engage with children and families in a fun, friendly, and professional manner
Stay in character to enhance the experience
Ensure all safety protocols are followed and passengers are secure
Assist with basic ride upkeep and cleanliness
Be a cheerful ambassador for Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch
Qualifications
Outgoing personality with performance or public speaking skills
Comfortable using a microphone and interacting with crowds
Punctual, reliable, and responsible
Prior experience in entertainment, theme parks, or children’s attractions is a plus
Able to work weekends and evenings during the Halloween season
Enjoys a festive, family-focused environment
