I use a professional Autel diagnostic scan tool that can scan many vehicle modules, not just basic check-engine codes. Many cheap code readers only check the engine computer, but modern cars can have hidden problems in the transmission, ABS, airbag/SRS, body control, hybrid/EV systems, charging system, and more.
A small inspection fee before buying can help you avoid much bigger losses later. Hidden engine, transmission, electrical, airbag, ABS, hybrid/EV, or emissions problems can cost hundreds or thousands after the sale. If we find problems, you can use that information to walk away or negotiate a better price.
