Job Title: Entry-Level HVAC/R Wholesale Counter Sales Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Entry-Level Sales Associate to join our independent HVAC/R wholesale supply house. In this role you will be helping local mechanical contractors, technicians, and commercial clients find the maintenance materials, parts, and equipment they require.
As part of a small, tight-knit team, you will split your time between counter sales, order processing, and warehouse support. This is an excellent starting point for someone looking to build a long-term career in the highly stable and lucrative HVAC/R distribution industry, with on-the-job training provided.
Core Responsibilities
• Customer Service & Counter Sales: Greet walk-in contractors warmly, answer phone calls, and assist clients in identifying and purchasing the correct HVAC/R parts, supplies, and tools.
• Order Processing: Input orders accurately into computer/Point-of-Sale (POS) system, process invoices, handle cash/card transactions, and pull products from the shelves.
• Inventory & Warehouse Support: Receive incoming freight shipments, verify packing slips, organize inventory on shelves, perform deliveries and help maintain a clean, safe, and professional storefront and warehouse space.
• Product Sourcing & Quotes: Work alongside senior staff to look up part numbers in manufacturer catalogs, check product availability, and provide pricing quotes to customers.
• Warranty & Returns: Assist contractors with processing product returns and manufacturer warranty claims by completing necessary paperwork.
Qualifications & Skills
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. A technical school certificate or background in trade school is an asset but not required.
• Experience: No prior HVAC/R experience needed—training will be provided for the right candidate. Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, hardware stores, or automotive parts counters is an asset.
• Mechanical Aptitude: A basic understanding of or natural curiosity about mechanical systems, tools, or electrical components.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and a friendly, professional attitude when interacting with contractors in person and over the phone.
• Tech-Savvy: Must be comfortable navigating basic computer systems, lookup catalogs, and typing.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and safely lift and move parts or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver's license- A valid driver's license is a requirement for this position.
