Mike Brown Electric Co. (MBE), a well-established, electrical contracting company serving Northern California since 1975, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our growing team.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and results-driven professional with a strong background in commercial and industrial electrical construction, including public works projects. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can successfully manage multiple projects while maintaining strong relationships with clients, field personnel, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage electrical construction projects from award through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to MBE's quality standards.
• Oversee project budgets, scheduling, forecasting, cost tracking, and profitability.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and field personnel.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, procurement, and project documentation.
• Work closely with superintendents and field crews to ensure efficient project execution.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scope of work.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5 years of electrical project management experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on commercial and industrial construction.
• Experience managing public works and prevailing wage projects.
• Knowledge of DSA (Division of the State Architect) requirements and experience with school construction projects a plus but not required
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, plans, specifications, and estimating.
• Experience with Accubid estimating software a plus
• Familiarity with eSUB project management software is a plus.
• Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and change order management.
• Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
