I'm pretty embarrassed that I was bamboozled by a local small business and am wondering how folks in close knit communities like ours handle it?
The dollar amount is significant (to me) but it is also about worrying about their next targets as their methods seem pretty polished. I know I can take them to small claims and there are consumer protection agencies/laws.
I just feel like I should do more to warn others than just write reviews they can take down.
I'm mostly mad at myself - putting my trust in them caused a life-threatening situation for myself and loved ones.
