This unit was purchased by my grandparents (sole owner/user) in December 1971 and has been in climate-controlled storage for the past 33 years. It seems lightly used and has strong suction. All rubber components including seals and belts are in good condition without any signs of fatigue or brittleness. Unit has no rust but the usual signs of wear that one would expect on a 55-year old. Bag check guide light seems to work fine as does the adjustment knob. Check out that solid wood spindle on the rug attachment in the video. Made in USA (Connecticut) they don’t build them this reliable and bulletproof anymore. Swedish engineering and American manufacturing.
