FourLeaf Thrift is seeking an experienced, professional Assistant Store Manager to anchor our store operations in Copiague. If you have a background in high-volume retail, thrift, or resale management and excel at balancing backroom donation flow with storefront operations, we’d love to hear from you!
In this hands-on leadership role, you will partner with the owners to drive and protect revenue, manage donation throughput, oversee staff performance, and keep our store presence clean, welcoming and fully merchandised.
What You’ll Do:
Employee Management: Ensure staff compliance, manage schedules, shift changes, performance evaluations, hiring/firing and training, team meetings, and act as a liaison for staff communication.
Operations & Maintenance: Uphold store policies, enforce safety protocols, maintain store appearance and cleanliness, and execute end-of-shift reporting.
Oversee Donation Throughput: Manage backend sorting and pricing, ensure safety compliance, streamline processing, and maintain strict adherence of throughput management.
Drive Performance: Utilize daily POS data to track revenue, monitor Average Order Value and ensure all tools at your disposal are used to maximize traffic and customer engagement.
Lead the Sales Floor: Provide high-visibility floor presence, assist with line-busting, guide staff on customer engagement, upselling, loyalty pitches, and execute visual merchandising standards set by leadership.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of retail supervisory or assistant management experience (thrift/resale preferred).
Proficiency in cloud-based POS platforms and online scheduling software.
Strong leadership presence with zero hesitation to enforce accountability, safety codes, and operational SOPs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift/move up to 50 lbs.
Schedule: 25 hours per week to start with potential to grow into full time. Schedule will include days, evenings and weekend shifts.
