I am looking to work with real estate industries companies (property management, general contractors, subcontractors) that need help with getting their accounting systems reorganized and providing financial information to owners, project managers and stakeholders.
If your billing and accounting operation are several months or several years behind, this last quarter of the year is a perfect time to catch up and make your 2026 year-end adjustments to set up your corporate tax packages in March/ April next year.
Currently, I manage construction accounting projects for a luxury home developer/ general contractor and several micro/ small subcontractors (C10-C36-C20) in the Los Angeles area.
For the luxury developer/ GC- I run Sage 100 Contractor 2025. They have multiple entities, one for each of their properties/ projects, so it’s a purchase order driven system. I post direct/ indirect invoices and audit the cost/ phase codes for preparations for their investor/ lender draw.
I also work with the subs on their change orders (and chase them down for the conditionals and unconditional waivers and log and managed the preliminary notices.
For the subcontractors I use Sage 50 Accounting Edition for one, QuickBooks online (QBO) for the other and it is full-charge bookkeeping; A/R, A/P, with payroll systems managed via ADP Run and Paychex.
My background is straight-forward.
I have over 20+ years working in this industry. I have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business management and was a licensed real estate loan agent, for years- specializing in property improvement loans from HUD Title 1’s loans to full blown construction loans.
I worked with developers and property management companies over the years, eventually becoming a real estate investor/ developer on my own. Today, I still own and manage several income properties.
So, if you have a project or position you need help with on-site or remote, please feel free to reach out.
