We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Dump Truck Driver to join our team. You will be responsible for operating commercial dump trucks to transport construction materials to and from designated job sites, managing your routes, and assisting with site operations while strictly adhering to DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Transport Materials: Safely haul aggregates, fill materials, asphalt, and other construction products to and from job sites efficiently.
Vehicle Inspection: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections (checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and tires) and complete daily Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Safe Operation: Maneuver trucks through busy construction zones and uneven terrain, and use truck levers/controls to accurately dump materials exactly as directed.Compliance:
Maintain accurate driver logs, mileage reports, and fuel receipts in accordance with DOT and company guidelines.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic routine maintenance (e.g., greasing fittings) and ensure the truck interior and exterior are kept clean.
Communication: Maintain constant contact with dispatch, project managers, and co-workers to coordinate delivery schedules and report traffic or site hazards.
Qualifications & Requirements.
License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) – typically Class A or Class B depending on the vehicle.
MUST be able to drive a transmission manual 8LL Eaton Fuller.
Medical: Valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (must pass a DOT physical).
Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations.
Experience: 2 years of verifiable experience driving commercial dump trucks or heavy-duty vehicles.
Environment: Ability to work outside in various weather conditions and adapt to changing daily routes.
