CNC Machine Setup Operator
Location: Rancho Cucamonga, CA
Automotive Parts manufacture is looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts in a fast-paced machining environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate CNC vertical mills
- Load programs, tools, fixtures, and work offsets
- Perform tool changes and make necessary machine adjustments
- Make minor CNC program edits and updates as needed
- Adjust speeds and feeds to optimize machining performance, tool life, and part quality
- Read and understand blueprints and engineering drawings
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality
- Perform first-piece and in-process inspections
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and minor programming issues
- Monitor production and make offsets as necessary
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work closely with engineering and programming to improve quality and efficiency
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ Years CNC mill setup and operating experience required
- Can work without a Manager
- Strong understanding of CNC machining fundamentals
- Ability to independently set up jobs from start to finish
- Ability to make minor CNC program edits and adjustments
- Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, tooling, and cutting conditions
- Experience reading blueprints and understanding GD&T preferred
- Comfortable using precision measuring equipment
- Knowledge of work holding and fixture setup
- Experience machining aluminum preferred
- Haas CNC experience is a plus
- Ability to consistently produce quality parts while maintaining production expectations
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
