We're a family-run carrier out of Clackamas County, OR looking for one solid Class A driver to run OTR with us. We're not a mega-fleet. We run about 20 trucks, we know our drivers by name, and we've got steady freight that keeps you moving and paid.
What you'll make
27% of the load, paid every week. In today's market that's averaging around 90 cents a mile — right about $2,500 a week for our drivers. When the loads pay more, you make more. No games with the math.
The truck
You'll be assigned your own truck — a Freightliner, Peterbilt, or Kenworth, all 2 to 4 years old. It's yours. We don't hot-seat drivers or swap you around from truck to truck. You take care of it, it stays with you.
The freight
Conestoga flatbed, so no tarping in the rain. Mostly aluminum extrusions, plus pallet racking, steel coils, and CNC machines. You don't touch the loading — all you do is secure it. If you've never run a Conestoga, we'll show you how. Strapping, chains, and Conestoga experience is a plus but not a dealbreaker.
The route and your home time
We run the 11 western states. Typical trip is out 2 to 3 weeks, then home 3 to 7 days. You have a real say in your home time and when you take it. Life happens, and within reason we work around it. You're not a number here.
What we need from you
Class A CDL with at least 2 years of tractor/trailer experience
At least 23 years old
Valid CDL in your home state — no current suspension or revocation
Clean drug and alcohol record — no failed tests, no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
A reasonably clean MVR — no serious violations (excessive speeding, reckless driving, following too close, texting/phone while driving) in the last 3 years, and no more than a couple of moving violations in the past year
No preventable accidents involving injury or major damage in the last 3 years
