Position Summary
Art Guild Binders is seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our production team. This
hands-on position supports printing, bookbinding, assembly, finishing, and general production. Previous printing
or bookbinding experience is helpful but not required. We will train the right person who has a positive attitude,
pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn.
Primary Responsibilities
• Assist with bookbinding, printing, assembly, and finishing operations.
• Operate production tools, machinery, and equipment after proper training.
• Measure, cut, assemble, and inspect materials accurately.
• Read a ruler and follow job specifications, measurements, and written instructions.
• Perform basic math calculations related to production quantities and measurements.
• Inspect completed products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Package, lift, move, and organize materials and finished products.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Perform minor equipment adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Solve routine production problems independently after completing initial training.
• Work with team members to complete jobs accurately and on schedule.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable with hands-on projects, such as changing a car's oil, installing a
ceiling fan, replacing an outdoor light fixture, or completing minor remodeling projects.
• Printing and/or bookbinding experience is helpful but not required.
• Ability to accurately read a ruler and perform basic high school-level math.
• Ability to safely lift and move objects weighing up to 40 pounds.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems after completing initial training.
Work Environment
Art Guild Binders offers a centrally located workplace, consistent daytime hours, hands-on training, and a great
work environment. There are no evening or weekend hours. This is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys
building, fixing, operating equipment, and seeing the finished results of their work.
