If you'd rather not tarp in the snow, you can run reefer for the winter and go back to open deck in the spring.
This is an OTR position: you'll be out on the road 3-4 weeks at a time.
Company driver
✔️ Flatbed, stepdeck and conestoga: 32% of gross. Trucks gross $12,000-$16,000 a week, so you make $3,840-$5,120
✔️ Reefer and dry van: 30% of gross, $3,000-$4,500 a week
✔️ Or CPM from $0.80/mile
✔️ Team drivers: 32% of gross
✔️ Bonuses up to $500 for clean DOT inspections
Lease to own
✔️ Keep 88% of the gross. Trucks gross $10,000-$16,000 a week, so your 88% comes to $8,800-$14,080 before fuel, the truck payment and other expenses
✔️ You pick the trailer: flatbed, stepdeck, conestoga, reefer or dry van
✔️ Owner-operators with their own truck: 88% of gross
Either way
✔️ 2024-27 Cascadias with a fridge, microwave and inverter
✔️ Maintenance in our own shop in Illinois
✔️ Every dispatcher has 5+ years of experience, driver support 24/7
✔️ If you live in or near Illinois, you can be home every 2 weeks
✔️ Paid weekly, 1099
Requirements
✔️ Class A CDL and 2+ years of verifiable OTR experience, including 6+ months on the trailer type you'll run
✔️ Clean record, no SAP (minor violations OK; not-at-fault accidents OK with a police report)
