This is a cast iron Parlor Stove, or Firepot, as one expert collector had advised me who I’d met on Facebook, after he’d researched it, evident by the flat plate on top as opposed to having a crown “Finial” on top. The porcelain face on the door is called a Cameo, per this same collector. The ash pan at the bottom needs to be reworked or a replacement made, it’s worn through on one corner’s bottom-the back end - from sliding it over the years. The stove has all of the parts, a few have been welded after breaking. The smoke stack at top in rear has splits on both side where bolts go. Would need to be patched, taped, or repaired. I purchased the stove 7 years ago from a man who purchased it as a rare find on Craigslist also and had never used it. It had been sitting in his barn. I had intentions to make it a working stove at my old house but I never got around to installing it with matting and to roof. Currently it resides in my storage unit.
