Vintage Magnavox stereo system with semi-automatic turntable, AM/FM radio, dual cassette decks, and matching pair of original Magnavox speakers.
Features include:
- Built-in record player, tested and working
- AM/FM radio, tested and working
- Two matching Magnavox speakers with good sound
- Dual cassette decks with recording and dubbing controls
- Headphone output jack
- Volume, balance, and tone controls
- Original turntable dust cover
- Carolina Soul Records turntable slipmat, included with the sale
The turntable and radio have both worked well in my experience, and the system sounds good through its speakers.
Important condition note: The cassette decks did not work reliably the last time I tried them. The motors did not seem to operate properly. I have not recently retested them, so please assume the cassette decks will need maintenance or repair.
The system shows normal cosmetic wear and dust consistent with its age.
About the slipmat: The Carolina Soul Records slipmat was purchased separately and is included with the stereo. For clarity, the stereo itself was purchased from a thrift store approximately eight years ago. It was not purchased from, refurbished by, or serviced by Carolina Soul Records.
A fun vintage stereo for listening to vinyl records and radio, or for someone interested in restoring the cassette mechanisms.
Asking $85 or best reasonable offer. Local pickup in East Durham.
