Chef Thai Dang’s acclaimed HaiSous Vietnamese Kitchen, located in the vibrant Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago is now hiring an Anchor Host for dinner service. We’re looking for enthusiastic and dependable individuals who are passionate about hospitality and Vietnamese cuisine.
Hours of Operation:
Wednesday–Sunday | 4 PM – 9 PM
Position Details:
Job Title: Host / Hostess (Part-Time – 4 Days/Week) Wed-Saturday or Thursday-Sunday
Pay: $16/hour + tips
Location: 1800 S Carpenter St, Pilsen
About the Role:
We are looking for a reliable, friendly Host / Hostess to join our team 4 days a week. As the first face our guests see, you’ll set the tone for a great dining experience by providing warm welcomes and smooth seating management.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage table seating flow.
- Track reservations and manage waitlists using Resy.
- Answer phone inquiries, take reservations, and assist with takeout orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entrance area.
- Communicate seating updates and guest needs with servers and managers.
Requirements
- Customer service or restaurant experience required
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-player attitude.
- Ability to stand/walk for 4–8 hour shifts and work well under peak rush pressure.
- Availability to work weekends and evening shifts.
