HANDYMAN NEEDED FOR ONGOING RESIDENTIAL PROJECTS — 60609
I’m looking for a reliable, experienced handyman for ongoing projects at my residence in Chicago’s Back of the Yards neighborhood. This is part-time, project-based work—not a full-time position.
I will generally purchase the materials and pay an agreed labor price per project. Occasionally, you may need to pick up materials from Home Depot or Menards, which will be reimbursed with receipts.
Upcoming projects include:
* Replacing standard locks and installing smart/digital locks
* Installing SimpliSafe cameras, door/window sensors and security equipment
* Installing smart-home devices and digital LED bulbs
* Assembling IKEA closet systems, storage pieces and furniture
* Mounting televisions, artwork and household fixtures
* Installing or replacing kitchen pull-out faucets
* Assessing or completing light dishwasher work
* Updating bathroom vanities in multiple bathrooms
* Installing smart heated toilets
* Updating bathroom exhaust fans and vents
* Installing and removing ceiling fans
* Installing closet and bedroom lighting
* Light bathroom tile work
* Light painting and woodworking
* Future crown molding and other interior upgrades
I may also need assistance evaluating estimates and coordinating qualified subcontractors for fencing, concrete, exterior lighting, front steps, gutters, minor roofing work and other exterior improvements.
Plumbing, electrical, roofing and other specialized work must be completed by someone properly qualified, licensed and insured when required.
I would like someone available next week to inspect, quote and complete the first project. If the work goes well, additional projects will be offered as I purchase materials and budget for them. There is no rush to complete everything at once—I am looking for someone dependable who can work with me consistently over time.
