Assists individuals with disabilities in performing daily activities, developing life skills, and engaging with their community. Act as advocates, helping clients communicate their needs, express themselves, and achieve personal goals. Able to work in diverse environments often requiring flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules. Assist with personal care and, when necessary, administer medications and follow behavioral management plans, ensure a safe and supportive environment, following emergency, abuse reporting, and behavior plan protocols. Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills, the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, and adapt to changing situations. Have knowledge of state and federal regulations, medication administration, and behavior management. Empathy, patience, and cultural awareness to work effectively with diverse populations.
