I've got all of the components which made up my newly updated/upgraded home theater system, which I am now putting up for sale!
This system will process and power a FULL Dolby Atmos/ DTS:X 7.1.4 Surround Sound Speaker System, and the components are as follows...
- Pioneer Elite VSX LX505 Audio/Video Receiver (Dolby Atmos/DTS:X) HDMI 2.1 (8K - 60Hz / 4K - 120Hz)
*This receiver is the heart of the system as a whole, and will passthrough 8K-60Hz and/or 4K/120Hz
as it boasts HDMI 2.1 which provides 40Gbps of bandwidth, rather than the previous generations HDMI 2.0 which only
had the capacity to handle 18Gbps. There are far too many features to list here, but check it out on Google, and you'll
see exactly what I mean. It also can process 11 channels of audio, and power 9 channels (with an additional two
channels able to be powered by an external amplifier, providing the ability to enjoy FULL Dolby Atmos/DTS:X
7.1.4 audio)
- Integra DTA 70.1 (9 channel) Analog Multi-Channel Integrated Amplifier (THX Ultra II Certified)
*Now THIS is my favorite component of the system. This handles strictly the POWER, for 9 of the 11 power hungry
4 ohm speakers which are included in this setup. Just like the Pioneer Elite VSX LX505 receiver, this component can
be Google searched, in order to get a better idea of what it means, having this power house running your speakers!
Receivers are sweet deveices, and not for nothing, but an amp like this, and all it's 9 channels of high power, are
simply not good for much at all, without a sound source like a receiver sending it a signal to push to the speakers
Running separates (meaning, powering one's speakers off of a dedicated power source, such as this amp here)
not only provides an amount of power that no receiver on the market could ever hope to push to any set of
speakers, let alone NINE of them, but it also improves the longevity of the receiver exponentially, by
removing all of the heat which would otherwise be put out by it's own 9 internal amplifiers. (a receiver
also relies upon digital amp tech, while amps like the DTA 70.1, are all analog, meaning they are capable
of supplying MUCH more power, and provide headroom, which means not only will the system piss of
the neighbors, and make every male friend who hears them jealous as hell, but it will also do so, while
maintaining a total harmonic distortion of no greater than .01% (which is NONE), all the way up to
reference level. (Reference Level, is the volume/wattage at which the home theater is effectively
producing the exact same amount of volume/sound as would be experienced in a movie theater...
Not "heard"... EXPERIENCED!! This system can make every movie you view, show you binge,
or game you play, exactly that... An immersive EXPERIENCE!!
- Custom Powered Subwoofer : This subwoofer employs an AMAZING driver, in the JBL Stadium 122SSI 12 inch, 600w RMS
1400w peak subwoofer, and the plate amplifier is equally as impressive, being the Dayton Audio
SPA500DSP which is an amp which will push a true 500w RMS power to the driver! This
is great on its own, but the amp also includes its own on boardDSP(Digital Signal Processing)
which can be controlled using the knob and button on the amp itself, or using just about any
recent Windows PC (following a quick download of the program from DaytonAudio.com)
and provides unparalleled control over the unit as a whole, and makes a sub using DSP,
sound multiple times better, and cleaner, than any unit without it. (95% of the powered
subs available from the well known brands, do NOT include amps with DSP)
- The Speakers... : This system pushes all of its audio glory, through up to 11 separate speakers, which are the exact amount
required to take advantage of Dolby Labs most recent, and outstanding audio codec, which is the
revolutionary new 3 dimensional, object based surround sound codec, which includes all of the ear level
channels we've been used to, but also, takes advantage of the ability to utilize up to four separate HEIGHT
channels as well. So now, sound doesn't just travel from front to back, and side to side, but also, from top
to bottom, and the other way around! Aircraft taking off, and flying overhead in the film you're watching?
Atmos has you covered! You'll hear every bit of it recreated as genuinely as if you were there watching and
hearing it in person!
The Speakers included are as follows...
- Monolith Encore T6 Tower Speakers (x2) for front and right main channels
- Monolith Encore C6 Center Speaker for center channel
- Monolith Encore B5 Bookshelf Speakers (x8) for all of the remaining surround and height channels
**These Monolith Speakers are absolutely killer! Thing is, they all have a 4 ohms impedance rating, so they are, as I mentioned before, very power hungry. In fact, in a case in which the amplifier were not present, you'd probably only be able to run the right and left mains, and maybe, maybe the center channel. Any more than that, and the power just would not be there, or, the receiver could wind up running way too hot, which is the number one cause of premature failure in home electronics (or electronics in general)... Heat is the number one enemy of electronics! Keep your devices cool, and you'll be fighting a winning battle. Either way, the life time of an item like a receiver, is always going to be finite, that is just the nature of the beast. However, there is one advantage the analog amplifier has, which is, that it is ANALOG. Analog tech is old. Old but reliable! See, I purchased my Integra DTA 70.1 multichannel amplifier new, for just under $1500. That may seem like a lot of money, and it is, to be sure! However, when you consider the fact that we are talking about a single amplifier, which can power NINE channels, to a level earning it a THX Ultra 2 certification, along with the fact that, being analog tech, the amp is different than most other components as a whole, because of the fact that, provided they are well maintained, and kept what?? That's right!! COOL!! If they are kept cool, then an analog amplifier is a lifetime investment. To such a degree, that, if nothing is mentioned about it in your will, then as soon as they've got you in the ground, your kids will be arguing with one and other about who Dad thought should have it! Yea, they last THAT long!
*** Timbre Matching, it DOES MATTER!! And purchasing speakers of the same brand, and better still, of the same model family within that brand, is always going to be the only real way that you can be certain that every one of your speakers is going to compliment the others in the system perfectly. The last thing you want, is a height, or surround speaker, out shinning your front mains!
There are a ton of other components, and interconnects which will be included in this sale as well. I am able to pretty much guarantee anyone who may decide to purchase this system, that they will have no need to go broke shopping Amazon and Best Buy for everything necessary to get it all installed and running in their home! I've got EVERYTHING you could possibly need, from quality, heavy duty adjustable speaker mounts, to properly gauged pure copper speaker wire by the foot, to quality RCAs that are pricey as hell, but if you're doing this, you don't ever do it half ass. It's pointless to purchase all of this stuff to enjoy in your home, if you are not going to learn everything necessary to install it properly yourself, or, have someone qualified to do it for you. Which, brings me to the last part of the deal, should any one require... Obviously this would not be free, however, I am willing to professionally install the entire system, from helping you figure out the best speaker and subwoofer placements, to professional wiring installed/run properly, so that wires are not visible, all the way down to getting everything turned on and running, so that I can show you personally, step by step, the correct way to run a Dirac Live room correction calibration, so that no matter how good, or not so good for home theater your space may be, by the time its all said and done, the system will sound magical, literally!
If you are interested in possibly purchasing this system for your own home, I can assure you, without even needing to know what your neighbor has in his own home, home theater-wise... THIS system here, absolutely WILL blow it's doors completely off!! The installation does not have to be a part of the purchase either, it is simply something I am willing to do, mostly because I care about this stuff, as ridiculous as it may sound. And if you are unsure about it, that doesn't mean it's "not for you", it just means you need the right help. And I know more, and charge WAY less than any home audio video company guy who may be willing to come to your place and get it all hooked up, AND, I will not sell you a bunch of unnecessary stuff in the process either.
