My chickens started laying eggs this year (2026).
I am asking for $20 per bird as my husband has had surgery and I do not have the time to devote to taking care of the chickens.
I have the following chickens for sale:
4 Cuckoo Marans (brown eggs)
3 Black Sex-Link (Black Stars) (brown eggs)
3 Buckeye (brown eggs)
3 Easter Eggers (blue eggs)
3 Sapphire Gems (brown eggs)
2 Starlights (brown eggs)
All of these chickens were purchased at the tractor store as chicks in the spring of 2025.
My chickens have started their annual molt.
Each chicken molts differently.
I have one Cuckoo Marans that has lost her feathers fast and her new pin feathers are visible.
Do not handle the birds when they are molting.
My chickens are well fed.
I feed my birds meal worms as a treat each day.
I buy the High Protein Layer Feed (bag has a green band) at the tractor store, I also provide them with scratch grains that has a combination of wheat & corn.
I provide them with wild bird seed.
I also provide them with oyster shell & limestone (small rocks)
I allow all of my birds to free range all day.
All of my birds go back to the coop before twilight & get locked up for the night.
Your coop should be big enough to provide 4 square feet per bird. Your run should provide 10 square feet per bird to keep the birds calm, stop bullying, & pecking etc with a cement floor which makes it easier to keep clean, disinfect, & sanitize.
You can order a gallon of disinfectant from Meyer Hatchery. (you ahould have a pair of boots dedicated to wear only inside the coop & run.
keep the boots clean & disinfected in a pan of disinfectant before & after entering the coop & run)
You should provide a large shallow pan with a mixture of dirt & food grade diatomaceous earth (tractor store) so the birds can clean their feathers & the diatomaecous earth kills the lice.
Please email me and let me know which birds you want.
I can meet you in the parking lot of the Chehalis Walgreens.
Please bring a box or large animal carrier to transport your birds in.
