Love the look of weathered wood, vintage character, and furniture with a story? That's what Freddy's Pallet Works is all about!
I take old, rough, weathered wooden pallets and turn them into unique, solid-wood furniture. The rougher and more beat-up the original wood, the better! Most of the wood is oak and other hardwoods, with original saw marks, nail holes, knots, gouges, and occasional pallet markings that give each piece its own character. I put it together reusing the salvaged spiral nails and traditional furniture making techniques with hidden pocket screws to make a nice, heavy-duty, solid table. It's stained a beautiful dark walnut color- and finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed Danish Oil.
Built by Hand From Reclaimed Wood
I carefully dismantle salvaged pallets, using the sturdy support pieces for the frames and the slats for the tabletops and shelves. The wood is cut, shaped, drilled, and sanded just enough to remove splinters while preserving its original character.
I use traditional furniture-making techniques, reclaimed spiral nails, and hidden pocket screws to build sturdy, substantial pieces designed for everyday use. Most pieces are stained a rich dark walnut color and finished with multiple coats of hand-rubbed Danish oil, bringing out the natural grain and beauty of the wood.
This isn't mass-produced furniture. Every piece has its own look, history, and personality.
