AHIP is looking for a dependable, experienced remodeling carpenter to work full time for our company. This is NOT a helper position; candidates should have construction experience for residential remodeling and renovation jobs in all areas of interior and exterior work. Candidates will work individually and as part of a crew and be responsible for the efficient implementation of construction tasks assigned by the Construction Manager. General knowledge of all phases of renovation and remodeling, including roofing repair, is required. Light plumbing and electrical experience are a plus. Candidates must possess a valid Virginia driver's license. This position is 40 hours per week, no weekends required. Requirements: 3+ years of remodeling experience; ability to work dependably without direct supervision; reliable transportation; ability to show up consistently and communicate with others; prolonged periods of standing, climbing, bending, kneeling; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time; must be able to work with sharp tools or power equipment; must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and terrains; must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
