First Step Staffing is hiring Material Handlers for long-term opportunities in Carson, CA.
Location: Carson, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Shifts: 1st & 2nd Shift
Employment Type: Full-Time / Long-Term
Work Environment: Light Warehouse Work
JOB DUTIES:
• Move materials from trucks, pallets, and racks and prepare orders for shipment
• Sort and separate materials onto the correct pallets or designated locations based on item numbers
• Place labels on boxes and pallets according to instructions
• Wrap pallets using stretch wrap and other packaging materials
• Put away products in designated warehouse locations
• Identify damaged, missing, or surplus materials and report issues to supervisors
• Use RF (Radio Frequency) equipment to track products and inventory
• Maintain an organized and safe work area
• Follow all quality standards, warehouse procedures, rules, and safety regulations
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions
• Must be dependable and punctual — excellent attendance is important
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, bend, lift, push, and pull as required
• Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• E-Verify required
