Do you like doom metal and folk ballads simultaneously? We have been compared to Pentagram and Tom Waits in the same sentence. I love old Irish and Scottish ballads, Lankum is one of my favorite bands, along with the Watersons, Pentangle, Planxty, etc. and also Black Sabbath, Manilla Road, Cirith Ungol, Bongripper, Pelican, etc.
I’m intentionally fusing the energy and sometimes content of old folk songs with metal and punk energy and a lot of atmosphere. Dynamics are very important. I have a lot of songs waiting in the wings for the next record. My band has been called folk black metal. It is very drone based and there is no bass player proper, so it’s a little different. Let me know if interested in talking further. We live in Carp and can prac here or go to VTA. VTA is where the rock 'n' roll is, that's where I've focussed on playing shows which is why I posted in the VTA thread.
We have done some small touring. I would like to do another small tour next year.
Check out Food for the Wyrm wherever you like to stream things if interested. Also there is a lot on YouTube and examples of a couple different percussionists. Our current drummer is amazing but he is in several projects and doesn't have the time to take on this one fully, understandably.
Drinking and 420 friendly but music is always the absolute highest priority. Looking for someone who is a good hang as well as musician. I've been playing music for a long time, it is the most important thing in my life. Let's have a good time, work hard and make some inspiring sounds happen.
